François Boyer, Head of Corporate Development at Transports Publics de la Région Lausannoise sa (tl), Switzerland, and a member of the tl top management team, was born in France in 1956. After studying civil engineering at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology Zurich (EPFZ), he worked on a number of dam-building projects and joined a firm of geotechnical engineers before adding an MBA to his qualifications. Active in the promotion and exploitation of scientific research and in assisting with the creation of new companies, he then moved into strategic and organisational management consultancy. In 1998 he joined tl, where he has coordinated the process-based reorganisation of the company, the development of corporate strategy and the implementation of strategic management tools. He also led the design of the organization needed for the m2 automatic Metro and the evolution of tl Corporate Culture. He currently heads the Corporate Development department, which covers organisational development, strategic development support, quality, safety, communications and information technology. He has been a member of the BHRM Commission UITP since 2012.
